Star Etrali pushes Mach 3D console here Monday June 13, 2005 |

Etrali, a wholly-owned subsidiary of France Telecom, aims to strengthen its presence in Malaysia in collaboration with Nexustel Sdn with the launch of its high performance voice-trading terminal, Mach 3D. General manager for Asia Pacific, Henri Vautheny, said partnering with Malaysian sole distributor Nexustel would benefit Etrali owing to the company’s strong experience in the local market. Etrali hoped to achieve 20% growth in local sales of Mach 3D by next year, he said. Etrali, a supplier and integrator of trading systems and extranet services for the financial sector, provides a full range of telecommunication products and services, which includes trading turrets, recording systems and customer relationship management solutions. Mach 3D comes integrated with multi channel speaker monitoring and intercom and is capable of connecting on either telephone or IP networks. It also offers cost-effective integration to desktop computers. “We aim to enlarge our current market in trading terminals to 40% by year-end,” said Nexustel executive director Wendy Leong. Nexustel currently has two commercial banks, one merchant bank, one stockbroker and one money broker in its client portfolio. Leong said the local market was booming and with many local banks merging, there was a need to replace older terminals in the financial sector to stay efficient and competitive. She said most financial trading systems in Malaysia were reaching the end of their life cycle and with the introduction of Mach 3D, most institutions would consider upgrading. Etrali is now in negotiations with a local financial firm and expects to finalise the deal next month. It also aims to secure four more customers by year-end. To date, Etrali has implemented systems for more than 1,300 trading rooms in 50 financial centres worldwide. |
